Words with Power.

In Bible times, a king’s word carried tremendous power. What he said would always come to pass.

“Where the word of a king is, there is power…” – Ecclesiastes 8:4

Do you know that we are called kings? Revelation 1 says that Jesus has washed us from our sins with His blood and made us kings.

So, as kings in Christ, our words also carry power.

When we place our hands on a sick person and say, “Be healed,” the person is healed. When we are with friends and say, “Be blessed,” they are blessed. There is power in our words because they are the words of kings!

Likewise, since our words carry power, then our negative words are equally powerful.
Can you imagine the harm we do when we say to people things like, “You are always so careless”, “You are good for nothing” or “You are so stupid”?

We are cursing them! Do you like it when people talk to you that way? Isn’t it interesting the harmful words people use when someone has a divorce or gets a DUI.

The devil is so happy when you use the power of your words against yourself, your loved ones or people around you. He wants to see you defeated. So stop saying things like “I am always broke”, say “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” No matter what has happened to you, or what people say, you are the righteousness of God in Christ. All of your sins are forgiven and God has a beautiful plan for you. Instead of saying, “I am so useless. I can’t do anything,” start saying, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Your words are powerful. They can be positive or negative. So remember that as a king, what you say will come to pass because where the word of a king is, there is power.

Speak blessings, not curses. Learn to say what God says about you and people around you and you will see those blessings come to pass!
