I get asked all the time about what does it mean to live a Christian life under grace. My easiest answer is that when you are conscious of God’s constant supply and love for you, you are living under grace.
Sometimes, though, we can’t help but be more aware of the everyday demands of life. There’s work, family, car troubles, maybe you need a healing, you are trying to pay off a loan, or a student just getting through a test.
These demands are legit, but they can leave you stressed if they’re bombarding your mind from morning to night. Are you worrying about these things in your own life?
God loves you and He’s got a better way. The next time these demands flood your mind, look away from them, see His supply of grace upon grace instead, and receive all that you need from Him. The apostle Paul had it right when he wrote in 2 Corinthians:
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
When you wake up every morning, know that God is also ready for your day and has a full supply of grace flowing to you. It will be more than enough for the day.
I pray that the sun rising will remind you of God’s superabundant supply: Every hour, it shines onto the Earth to take care of the plants, trees, heat, even our global energy needs. And, whatever is not used just goes into space. There’s more than enough sun for us all!
Keep that picture in mind…His grace like the sun. It’s always there, there’s always enough, and there’s nothing you can do to stop it! That’s the grace way of life.
